7 Scriptures To Help You Change Your Mindset

What drives your thought-life?

Is it fear or anxiety based on the latest news reports or your current circumstances?

Or is it faith based on the report of the Lord which is based on the sure foundation of the Word of God?

Whose report will you believe?

Who has believed [confidently trusted in, relied on, and adhered to] our message [of salvation]?

And to whom [if not us] has the arm and infinite power of the Lord been revealed?

isaiah 53:1

The King James Version says “whose report will you believe”?

So we have a choice. We can believe the report of the enemy who is wreaking havoc in our neck of the woods and around the world and walk in fear and anxiety.

Or, we can believe in God’s message of salvation, and infinite power to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we are able to ask or imagine.

Our God is a big God and we can ask Him for big things.

Don’t tell God how big the problem is: Tell the problem how big your God is and ask Him to help you believe for it.

How do you build your trust to depend on God?

If I have a wilderness mentality (a negative narrative or fixed mindset), how do I change it?

7 Scriptures to Help You Change Your Mindset

1) Disconnect from toxic people/environments

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,

but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

proverbs 13:20

2) Surround yourself with like-minded people

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

II timothy 3:1-5

3) Delight yourself in the Lord

Delight yourself in the Lord,

and he will give you the desires of your heart.

psalms 37:4

4) Speak life

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

ephesians 4:29

5) Consume positive content

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

romans 8:6

6) Follow after the Holy Spirit

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

isaiah 26:3

7) Make the Word of God your life’s compass

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:1

Let go of your wilderness mentality that says that “I don’t know if I can trust God to handle this situation” and understand that the Bible is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth and it can be trusted to help you navigate all of the stuff that life throw’s at you. Read it and ask the Holy Spirit to help you to interpret it.

Let’s Pray:

Father in the name of Jesus, You are an awesome God Who can do awesome things. Help me to believe for the impossible in my life, my family members lives and in the lives of others. Thank You. Amen.

Grace and Peace,

Silvana
