A Place of Grace

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

II Corinthians 12:9

You Are Chosen

God has chosen you for such a time as this. However, the enemy will not roll out the red carpet for you to step into what He has called you into in this season of your life (Jesus is calling; are you listening/answering?).

You may not know how to step into what God has called you to do, but your path begins when you “glory in your infirmities” or weaknesses trusting God to strengthen you so that the “the power of Christ” or the anointing will rest upon you (and to do this consistently).

There are obstacles that will be thrown against you to prevent you from going to your next level in God. Trust me when I tell you that your adversary will use anyone and anything to stop God’s assignment from flourishing in your life. But, it is in God’s place of grace that will sustain you in times of trouble.

The Good News is that:

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

i john 3:8

That is God’s Word of encouragement for His children. The thing is, is that we have a responsibility to enforce that Word in our lives. How do we enforce God’s Word in our lives, you may ask? We enforce His Word by using it as a weapon (the Sword of the Spirit), by praying it back to Him, using it as an affirmation in a declaration, or standing on it in faith, believing that we receive the manifestation of it in our lives.

God’s Word has an appointed time to be manifested in your life. Can someone say, “appointed time”? Yes. When God brought His children out of slavery (the night of the Exodus), it was to the very day that God had prophesied their deliverance to Abraham.

The Lord also has an expiration date on your wilderness season and for you to walk into His promises for your life.

One thing that will get you out of the will of God is by not walking in love, and not walking in gratitude towards Him and others; Jesus summed up God’s command with two commandments:

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

matthew 22:37-39

The Secret Place

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

psalms 91:1

The rest of Psalms 91 sets forth a pattern of the benefits that we can expect to walk in as children of the Most High God when we dwell in that secret place. Verse 2 tells us how to access it:

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Psalms 91:2

You have to become fully persuaded (having made the Lord your habitation or your place of grace) of God’s ability to fulfill His Word in your life even when you are experiencing “fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought”. You must believe that He is well able to keep you and to declare that you will trust Him. You have to say what it is that you believe and trust that God will bring His Word (that’s what you are speaking-His Word), to pass in your life.

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

i corinthians 10:13

We have a place to retreat to for safety (a place of grace that the Lord has made available to us) from the fiery darts of the wicked one. That dreadful feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when the enemy is using someone, something, or a situation to move you from your position (or to keep you from elevating to your position) in God, is a temptation. Understand that temptation is anything that exalts itself against God’s Word, and we must cast it down in Jesus’ name, Amen? You have to cast it down so that it does not become a stronghold in your life.

Grace Defined

Grace is defined as God’s unmerited favor towards us. It is not something that we deserve, but it is God’s ability to cause things to happen for us that would not have otherwise happened, when we trust Him for it (His favor). God has favored you and no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Remember, the Word did not say that the weapon would not be formed, but that it will not prosper. Your belief and declaration of that Word determines the manifestation of it in your life.

Conclusion

So when you feel Hell’s hounds at your back, know that the Lord has a place of safety for you. It is a place of grace. His amazing grace. Be not afraid, nor dismayed. Stay in your place in Him. For His grace is sufficient for you. And remember: “This too shall pass”.

Let’s Pray:

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for going before me to prepare a place of grace. Help me learn how to cultivate my love walk and walk in the fruit of the Spirit-so that I will become better, and not bitter. Amen.

lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

matthew 28:20

Grace and Peace,
